VeldhovenGroup and Olsen to merge
VeldhovenGroup and Olsen has merged to create a single Pan-European fashion house, VeldhovenGroup. The merger follows the Group’s acquisition of the Olsen company in late 2013, which added the German brand Olsen to Sandwich, Turnover, and DEPT, the Group’s portfolio of mid-segment womenswear brands. VeldhovenGroup is to establish its international headquarters in Zug, Switzerland. The design teams will remain in the brands home market. For Olsen this is Hamburg, for Sandwich, Turnover & DEPT this remains Amsterdam. From the Swiss HQ, the Group will set the central company vision and strategy for its brands, as well as servicing them with shared operational and back office functions. Mid-segment womenswear is the core of VeldhovenGroup’s know-how. These changes will build on the heritage of the Group, and support its ambition to enable each of it’s portfolio brands to reach its full potential.
