Textile Forum reveals Cycle Chic Design competition winner
The winner of the Textile Forum/Ringhart Fabrics Cycle Chic design competition, in conjunction with the Fashion Retail Academy, was selected during a reception organised by sponsor HSBC Bank at its Pall Mall offices in central London. Ellie Sloane won with a shirt with peplum that was felt to be the best interpretation of the brief to create a design that was stylish for the office, yet practical to wear when cycling to work or meetings. The judging panel comprised representatives from shirt retailer T M Lewin, cycling clothing specialist Rapha, activewear brand Sweaty Betty, Drapers, the fashion business magazine, Stylus, the trend and research organisation, Ringhart Fabrics, HSBC and Textile Forum. The finalists’ designs were produced by Ella London for the judging panel. The winning design will be on display on the Ringhart Fabrics stand at Textile Forum next week.
