St Pancras International teams up with author Luke Winter
St Pancras International has announced that Luke Winter, an author best known for writing spontaneous short stories for strangers across the globe, will take up residence in the station this summer to offer visitors the chance to have an original story written for them, for free. The activity is part of a storytelling theme running throughout the station this summer. For three days only (19-21 August) visitors can have a completely original story written for them by St Pancras International’s new writer-in-residence. Capturing their experiences, journeys and conversations, Winter will be taking up residence in the station’s newly installed summer seating area telling the many stories of those passing through the iconic station, with the events inspiring bespoke plotlines. Wendy Spinks, Commercial Director at HS1 Ltd. said, “This summer, St Pancras have weaved some exciting cultural activities into our visitor’s travel adventures, from food and drink sampling to new shop openings. We’re delighted that Luke will be able to bring their summer stories, and their exciting experiences here to life, so that they can share them with friends and family at home.” Known for its ongoing calendar of arts and culture events, the three-day literary event is part of storytelling theme running throughout the station this summer, including the opening of a fully themed interactive summer seating area.
