ShopStyle boosts executive team following successful site re-launch
Following the successful re-launch of their website last this month, the UK’s No1 online fashion shopping site ShopStyle.co.uk appoints a new editorial team to support the UK business.
Joanna Wells joins ShopStyle as a consultant, Editorial Director where she will be responsible for directing the brand’s marketing activity in the UK, France and Germany. And whilst her remit is broad, covering online marketing, PR, editorial, partnerships, promotions and social media, her focus is clear – to ensure that ShopStyle is recognised internationally as the no.1 fashion shopping and search business in the UK, France and Germany. Joanna joins the team from Clock Ltd where she worked as Digital Director, managing digital product development for clients including BBC, Channel 4, News Corp, Turner and Shortlist Media. She also consulted at Mobile Content Consulting, developing a portfolio of new products as well as reinventing existing propositions.
Sian O’Flaherty is another addition to the new team. Sian joins ShopStyle from lyst.com the online clothing & accessories site for women where she worked as style editor and partnership manager. Sian was appointed as the UK Marketing Manager in October. She is responsible for handling the marketing activity, managing merchant relationships, overseeing editorial content, running the social media channels, managing the look and feel of the site and social media channels. Sian is joined by Alex Stoll who has joined the UK team from the German division of the company. Alex will be handling, partnerships and events in UK. She is also responsible for the managing the email program across Europe. Her goal within the role is to create an experience and make ShopStyle even better and bigger in Europe. Alex previously worked for Axel Springer, a publishing house in Berlin, where she worked for four years handling client and agency activity.
Sally Hillman has also joined the UK team as Blog Editor, Sally is tasked with creating a blog that contains compelling content to increase traffic, time spent on site and drive sales. She will be responsible for managing and editing the UK blog and also building and maintaining relationships to raise the profile of ShopStyle within the industry. Sally will also be working closely with account management teams to provide editorial content agreed as part of retailer packages whilst also providing a key part of social media activity. Sally has over 10 years’ experience in journalism working for quality titles such as Cosmopolitan and Fabulous magazine. Sally previously worked at Focus PR, where she helped with the media strategy for major beauty brands including Collection 2000, Eylure, Elegant Touch and Witch.
