    Rosie Fortescue has been announced as the face of MarketSpace – a new, commission-based model to enable upcoming independent third party
    designers to trade directly with customers. The site features brands including Never Fully Dressed, Temple of Plume, Language of Flowers, Vicious Boutique and Fairytales & Hidden Notes, and will be a platform to support many more new designers. MarketSpace enables sellers to set up and manage their own market stall-front and sell via pretaportobello.com’s e-commerce platform, dispatching items direct to customers and therefore benefiting from a ready-made e-commerce site. The MarketSpace model is integrated into pretaportobello.com’s existing website, meaning the checkout process is fully streamlined, and a customer is able to add items to their shopping bag from pretaportobello.com’s main website, as well as items from one or more MarketSpace sellers. In order to represent the true markets’ varying stalls, MarketSpace will house brands selling art, gifts, homeware, mens and kids-wear to extend pretaportobello.com’s overall offering from women’s fashion and accessories. MarketSpace will be curated by pretaportobello.com, with all designers handpicked and approved by the team to ensure the space does not become overcrowded and confusing. MarketSpace charges a monthly subscription fee of £20 to cover the administration of each seller account, together with a 15% commission on the selling price of all items sold through pretaportobello.com.
