Restaurant China Tang has appointed Anteater Communications to handle all press and publicity. The Chinese restaurant was founded by entrepreneur David Tang and opened in 2005, located at 53 Park Lane in London’s Dorchester Hotel. China Tang specialises in Cantonese food, offering luxuriously designed interiors, with an art deco lounge bar reminiscent of 1930s Shanghai. The Mayfair restaurant is popular with a number of politicians, actors and models, including Tony Blair and Kate Moss. Some notable charity events have been hosted there as well, such as fundraisers for the Television Trust for the Environment. Anteater Communications will be responsible for boosting awareness of the restaurant and bar, advising on media relations, developing event and partnership opportunities, and managing China Tang’s social media output and wider digital strategy. Anteater Communications has particular expertise in the hospitality industry with clients such as The Coach Clerkenwell, Riding House Café, 10 Greek Street, Bar Douro, Farm Girl, Salt Yard as well as the charity StreetSmart.
