International contemporary brand Original Penguin by Munsingwear announces that footwear company 33 Joints will now design, manufacture and distribute the footwear category, across the European and UK markets. Driven by the success and rapid growth of Original Penguin by Munsingwear in Europe, the brand partnered with 33 Joints to further develop this key category with major retailers and consumers. 33 joints will continue to service existing retail partners, alongside expanding the footwear wholesale portfolio. Additionally, the brand has appointed UK based company Orrsum to design and manufacture the brand’s loungewear, underwear and sock categories within the UK. Inspired by the Original Penguin by Munsingwear apparel range, which includes staples such as the classic Earl polo, this category will be designed utilising seasonal trends that include injections of pop colours and a mix of patterns, whilst referencing vintage iconography. Seasonal collections will include ranges across men’s, women’s and childrenswear and will be launched from autumn / winter 2014.
