Martina Hingis announced as Grand Resort Bad Ragaz official ambassador
Grand Resort Bad Ragaz has announced that former tennis world champion, Martina Hingis, is the official ambassador for the resort, after many years of being a loyal guest. During her time as a competitive sportswoman, Martina used the five-star facilities to rejuvenate and recover after her strenuous training regime. Growing up, Martina Hingis trained with her mother, Melanie Molitor, at the Bad Ragaz Tennis Centre before stepping onto the international competitive tennis stage aged 17. During her illustrious career, the ‘ever-smiling Swiss Miss’ found time in between winning her 25 Grand Slam titles to frequently return to Grand Resort Bad Ragaz. Her familiarisation with the resort is how she finds it easy to transition into her new role as the official ambassador, “I can always find my inner balance here straight away, it’s because the professional yet welcoming team always make me feel truly at home every time I visit.” After tennis, horse riding has always been Martina’s second greatest passion. She cannot wait to pursue riding in the Heidiland holiday region of Eastern Switzerland, with plans to construct stables in her own property in Bad Ragaz. Since retiring from the professional sport, Martina is shifting her focus towards offering training in sports health and medicine with her sports physician partner, Harry Leemann. The expertise that Grand Resort Bad Ragaz has to offer in all of these areas is extremely important to her. Nightly rates at Grand Resort Bad Ragaz start from £215* per person sharing a double room. Rates include breakfast, welcome aperitif, use of the Thermal Spa area and Tamina Therme, fresh fruit and Ragaz water each day and daily fitness and relaxation lessons as well as VAT.
