Marks & Spencer collaborates with illustrator Nikki Strange
Marks & Spencer has teamed up with Nikki Strange, a London-based textile print designer, to create a special edition, vibrant look for its Limited Collection make-up range. The young British designer, known for her whimsical and ethereal prints, brings her creative flair to this exclusive collection which will be available for spring 2015. The capsule collection brings together ten beauty products, including face and eye palettes, lip crayons, bronzer, nail polish (including a special effect polish with daisy shaped glitter), and wash bag, with Nikki’s eclectic style in her first venture into packaging design. Limited Collection Nikki Strange will be available exclusively from M&S stores nationwide and online from January 7, 2015, with prices starting at £4. Combining spring’s newest cosmetic shades with Nikki’s exclusive illustrations, the design takes its influence from her love of nature. Working in watercolours and inks, Nikki has taken a fresh, colourful approach celebrating the arrival of spring by incorporating impressionist flowers with whimsical insects and bugs. Other products include a Limited Collection Nikki Strange Mini Nail Polish Trio (£6) and Limited Collection Nikki Strange Gel Shine Nail Polish Collection (£10) for seven mini polishes.
