Fashion title Marie Claire is bringing its careers franchise, Marie Claire@Work, to life with a one-day conference at BAFTA. The event targets women looking to boost their career, change direction or set up their own business. Sponsors of the event on Saturday, June 13, include Karen Millen, balance me, Benefit, Frédérique Constant, TruBe and Freixenet. Marie Claire@Work Live will present a day of inspiring talks and workshops with high-profile businesswomen and entrepreneurs. Speakers include Miriam González Durántez, international lawyer and campaigner; Chloe Macintosh, MADE.com co-founder; Sarah Curran, my-wardrobe.com founder; and Divinia Knowles, president and CFO of Mind Candy. Conference sessions will address a range of careers topics such as CVs in a social world, growing a business fast, tools for avoiding burn-out and negotiation techniques. There will also be masterclasses in building the ultimate working wardrobe and dealing with the biggest beauty challenges at work. Marie Claire worked with consultants Patrick Keogh and Sara Rhodes to stage Marie Claire@Work Live.
