Lee Paton launches first ready-to-wear collection

British luxury fashion label Lee Paton has announced the launch of its first ready-to-wear collection. The brand was founded in 2010 by London-based designer Lee Paton as a high-end bespoke service for private clients. From 2015 the company will design and retail men and women’s luxury ready-to-wear as Lee Paton Men and Women respectively, while also maintaining its tradition as a creator of bespoke couture under the Lee Paton Private Division. Lee Paton Women offers ready-to-wear garments that are handmade in the UK with intricate embroideries and hand finishing. Wools and tweeds are sourced from Yorkshire and the Scottish Highlands while silks, lace and cottons come from France. The brand’s first ready-to-wear collection, titled For Elizabeth is a homage to award-winning dancer and the Royal Ballet’s Principal Character Artist, Elizabeth McGorian, a private client of the house. The autumn/winter 2015 collection through its luxurious textures, from cashmere wool and silk velvet to leather and fur, is a nod to Elizabeth’s elegant style. The relaxed shapes and tailored comfort of some of the pieces also acknowledge the earlier days of dance training. With this collection Lee has tried to mirror her classic, graceful style throughout the collection accompanied by her playful humour.
