JML launches new shopping channel
Consumer and home shopping brand JML have extended their existing teleshopping relationship with ITV to launch a new shopping channel called The Store. The Store will see the first teleshopping channel utilising the new ‘chatmercial’ format in the UK based on an infomercial and chat show style hybrid format filmed in front of a studio audience. The channel will launch in October 2013 and broadcast seven days a week, 24 hours a day on Sky (642), FreeSat (809) with selected content streamed on ITV.com. It will also broadcast up to 7 hours per day on Freeview (39) and The Store ‘chatmercials’ will continue to air two hours per week on Sunday nights on ITV. The Store will offer viewers a select choice of the latest and existing health, beauty, gift and home products, sold through in-depth demonstrations. A range of brands and exclusive celebrity beauty products will feature on the channel and the launch line-up includes Bollywood Professional cosmetics, Frankie Essex’s hair products, Chloe Sim’s tanning range and Melanie Sykes’ Active Woman supplements.
