Jake Gyllenhaal front first free digital issue of Another Man

As a gesture of solidarity to people around the world, at home and in isolation, Another Man has announced that the upcoming issue will be free and available digitally – for the first time in the magazine’s history. High Art Pop Culture, the upcoming issue of Another Man marks the 15th anniversary edition for the title. Guest edited by Jo-Ann Furniss, the issue features cover star Jake Gyllenhaal photographed by Alasdair McLellan, and will be available to access digitally for free from Monday 6 April. Ellie Grace Cumming, Fashion Director of Another Man said: “Given everything that is happening we wanted to respond with a gesture of solidarity for our readers around the world at home and in isolation offering them a small token of hope. It’s a true first for Another Man releasing it completely free to download digitally – we want to inspire Jake’s fans and our readers, making them feel as positive as possible, it’s so important right now, especially as so many people are house-bound alone. The hashtag #CultureMustContinue is a rallying call – while the places where culture thrives are being shut down – bars, theatres, cinemas, museums, art spaces, music and dance venues – culture is not cancelled. When culture becomes threatened we revert to losing our sense of humanity. It affects a whole generation of creatives and freelancers and we know the short term is connected to the long term and the next generation. The Another Man 15th birthday issue documents shows and exhibitions that have now been postponed or cancelled. Now and over the coming months we will be using our Another Man digital channels to bring solidarity to the creative industries at risk. This is why we really wanted to use this particular hashtag for the launch of the issue.” The print edition of Another Man is on sale Thursday 2 April.
