The Woolmark Company has announced the judges for the International Woolmark Prize 2015. Designer Paul Smith will sit alongside industry greats Dylan Jones – Editor-in-Chief, GQ UK; Tim Blanks – Editor-at-Large, Style.com; and Nick Wooster who will decide the winner of the men’s award which recognises design excellence using Australia’s preeminent natural fibre, Merino wool. The final will be held on January 9, 2015, the first day of London Collections: Men. The womenswear award, to be announced on March 17, 2015, in Beijing will be judged by style and design icon, Victoria Beckham. Victoria will be joined by Angelica Cheung – Editor-at-Large, Vogue China; Franca Sozzani – Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia, L’Uomo Vogue Italia and Vogue.it, Editorial Director of Condé Nast Italia, and “Goodwill Ambassador for Fashion 4 Development” for the UN; and Colin McDowell. The Woolmark Company is pleased to announce MATCHESFASHION.COM as the latest retail partner to have signed on as the exclusive online retailer for the men’s award, joining some of the world’s most important boutiques and retailers who will be stock the winning collections from August 2015.
