In review: Viceroy Sugar Beach
Staying at the Viceroy Sugar Beach Hotel in a Beachfront Bungalow in Soufriere for two nights is one of the best experiences two people can have. It boasts one of the most luxurious vacation facilities and services with stunning views of the Pitons.
From the very first moment of your stay at Sugar Beach you are treated like VIP’s; upon check-in the butler will have made you a dinner reservation at the Bayside Restaurant which is not only a wonderful touch, but you will find it also to be an extraordinary nice dining experience with a rich and varied menu executed perfectly!
As you first walk in you will be delighted by the ‘welcome’ spelt out in leaves on the coffee table and complimentary plantain chips with accompanying dip, a bottle of rum and a fresh coconut with two straws all ready and waiting for you. It is a wonderful touch of hospitality and will really make you feel right at home instantaneously. The staff will also provide a welcome bag with gifts of local pepper and spices.
The Bungalow is spacious and full of light, spotlessly clean and tasteful, guaranteed to make you feel at ease and settle in quickly. Each bungalow is also decked out with the latest amenities such as: an iPod docking station, walk-in closet, complimentary WiFi, and most importantly for the adults and a large flat screen TV with built in DVD player. A four-poster bed gives the master bedroom an air of elegance and refined decadence. An iPad is provided solely for the purpose of using further services provided by the hotel: a full and varied room service menu, and a wealth of spa treatments.
The beach view is stunning – to say the very least! A beautiful decked area overlooks the sea and is simply breath-taking.
A personal butler is assigned to each bungalow for the duration of your stay; contactable via a mini cell phone available within the Bungalow. They are always helpful, polite and very fast! Their recommendations and friendly advice about the area is incredibly helpful.
Breakfast is provided at the Hotel and includes a selection of tropical fruits, fresh yoghurts and healthy juices, as well as freshly baked bread, a variety of milks, champagne and local juices. You can also order from the room service menu a selection of continental breakfast goods as well as local flavours such as: omelettes, Creole breakfast, pancakes, waffles etc.
Throughout your stay you will find the staff to be helpful and attentive, ready to go above and beyond at the slightest request. I would recommend staying at Sugar Beach to all who enjoy luxury and comfort.
