Hunter assumes direct control over Scandinavian dsitribution
Hunter are going to operate as a directly owned business in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland distributing ready-to-wear, footwear, outerwear and accessories. The brand sells via its own channels and selected fashion stores in Scandinavia, such as NK, Åhlens and Footway. Founded in 1856 and holder of two Royal Warrants, Hunter is a progressive British heritage brand, recognised worldwide for its iconic Original Wellington boot first introduced in 1856. Alasdhair Willis joined Hunter as Creative Director in 2013, setting out a clear vision recognising the unique breadth of Hunter’s customer base and the brand’s potential as a global lifestyle brand. He introduced two new brand categories: Hunter Original and Hunter Field.
The Scandinavian market will be managed from Hunter’s EMEA HQ based in Dusseldorf. Hunter strengthened its senior leadership team with the recent appointment of Roope Karmavuo as Commercial Director for EMEA, who most recently acted as the Director of Sales for Canada Goose International AG. Daniel Nilsson joined Hunter as new Sales Manager for Scandinavia & Russia, previously at Lego Wear. He has contributed to the success stories of brands like Hövding, Canada Goose and Carlsberg in Sweden.
