H&M announces launch of Holiday campaign
International fashion brand, H&M, has announced the launch of its holiday campaign, the fictional ‘Hotel Mauritz’. A six-episode mini-series, directed by Matt Piedmont, all based in an irresistibly cosy alpine lodge filled with an extraordinary cast of stars, this is our mood-setting introduction to the wonder of winter. For women, the focus is on elegant pieces that exude effortless glamour. Tailoring in chic monochrome offers endless dayto-night possibilities, be it a sleek tuxedo coat or a sophisticated pyjama suit. Intricately decorated knitwear embellished with pearls and beads is combined with a simple pair of coated skinny trousers for a relaxed but festive look. Dresses are flourished with satin and lace, lingerie-inspired details giving a sensual element to evening attire.
The menswear trend is suave and refined. Suiting is cut lean and designed to flatter, in smart charcoal and inky black. Shirting is another key focus, elevated with unique prints, while knitwear is rendered in a palette of classic, rusty reds and autumnal chestnuts.
Childrenswear has a fairy-tale theme inspired by an enchanted forest. Filled with fantastic creatures and shimmering metallics with hero pieces including tulle princess skirts for girls and graphic printed knits for boys, it’s a playful take on a magical season of style.
