H&M and WWF announce collaboration
H&M and WWF have announced the launch of a new kids collection made of sustainable materials, hoping to inspire people across the world to take better care of the planet. Launching on 13th September 2018 in over 50 markets, 10% of the sales price from each product will be donated towards WWF’s conservation work. Across the globe, several wildlife species face threats from habitat loss, water pollution as well as the impact of climate change. The collection is focused around wild animals such as tigers, snow leopards, polar bears, whales, elephants and penguins to highlight the plight of these species at risk. H&M group has been working in partnership with WWF, the world’s leading conservation organisation, since 2011. The partnership focuses on water stewardship, climate action and sustainability strategy, with the aim of making H&M and the broader fashion industry more sustainable. H&M and WWF first teamed up on a collection supporting WWF’s marine work in 2010 followed by a kids collection on wild animals at risk in 2016. The new collection for babies and children up to 14 years old includes pieces such as cosy sweatshirts, soft leggings and fun hooded dresses. The colour palette runs from pastels and neutrals to black and grey. Organic cotton is the key material used in the collection.
