Harper’s Bazaar has announced that the Bazaar At Work Summit
Harper’s Bazaar, the world’s longest-established luxury fashion, art and literary magazine, has announced that the Bazaar At Work Summit will return this year with influential speakers. Taking place at Sotheby’s, New Bond Street, on 13 November, the Summit, held in partnership with the global wealth-management firm UBS, is a day-long conference that brings together inspiring female leaders for a day of empowering talks, thought-provoking panel discussions, interactive workshops and unmissable networking opportunities. Building on the success of the past two annual events, the Summit will offer a rare opportunity to hear from distinguished businesswomen, authors, entrepreneurs and campaigners.
The inspirational speakers include:
- Jade Jagger, formerly the creative director for Asprey and Garrard, now heading up her own exclusive jewellery brand.
- Arizona Muse, a model, mother and environmental advocate known for her focus on sustainability in fashion and farming.
- Carrie Gracie, a journalist, author and passionate champion of equal pay for women. In January 2018, Gracie publicly resigned from her role as the BBC China editor, triggering a parliamentary inquiry into pay discrimination at the organisation.
- Trinny Woodall, a television presenter and author who founded the game-changing make-up brand Trinny London in 2017.
- Elif Shafak, an award-winning British-Turkish novelist who has published 17 books, including 11 novels, the latest of which was longlisted for this year’s Booker Prize.
- Chrissie Rucker, who founded the White Company in 1994 and grew it from a small mail-order business into one of the UK’s fastest-growing multi-channel retailers.
- Jessamy Hibberd, a chartered clinical psychologist and author of The Impostor Cure.
- Jane Wurwand, the co-founder of the global skincare brand Dermalogica and a vocal advocate of women’s economic empowerment. Wurwand was appointed a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship by Barack Obama in 2016.
- Isabel Spearman, an image and brand consultant who previously worked as the special advisor to Samantha Cameron, playing a key role in building her public profile internationally.
- Mozhdah Jamalzadah, an Afghanistan-born, Canada-based singer and television presenter whose groundbreaking programme The Mozhdah Show broached taboo subjects about life as an Afghan woman.
