Handmade Oxford announces new September dates
In light of the current situation and putting the health, safety and wellbeing of visitors, exhibitors, partners and team first, the Handmade Oxford – The International Arts Festival will now take place from Thursday 17 – Sunday 20 September 2020. This September, visitors are invited to meet, commission and shop directly from over 200 international and UK-based makers working across a range of contemporary disciplines, from ceramics, jewellery and furniture to fine art, sculpture and print. Building on the success of last year, this September, Handmade Oxford will be a must-see event for art collectors and craft-enthusiasts alike. The Festival welcomes established and sought-after exhibitors showcasing their latest collections, alongside innovative new makers and a handpicked selection of artisan food producers. The Festival will welcome exhibitors and demonstrators to its new feature areas including Art Studio, co-curated by Ashmolean Museum, Sustainable Living and Wellbeing, Artisan Food – Taste the Handmade, Make – Craft Supplies, and material focus for 2020, Textiles in Practice. In addition to meeting the makers, visitors will be invited to take part in a programme of workshops, watch artist demonstrations, enjoy The Arts Society’s talks programme and explore the beautiful ornamental gardens at Waterperry.
