Graduate Fashion Week winners announced

 

Graduate Fashion Week has announced the winners of this year’s Gala Awards, hosted by Henry Holland and Zara Martin. Lauren Smith (pictured) won the prestigious GFW George Gold Award and received a prize of £20,000. Other winners include: Hannah Williams from UCA Epsom who the Womenswear Award, Shauni Douglas & Olivia Creber from Edinburgh College of Art who won the Menswear Award, Kirandeep Bassan from Northampton University who won the Zandra Rhodes Catwalk Textile Award, Thea Saunders from Nottingham Trent University who won the Stuart Peters Visionary Knitwear Award, Amy Davidson from Manchester School of Art won the Mulberry Accessories Award 2013, Rosy Dobby from Northumbria University won the Ethical Award, Hannah William from UCA Epsom won the Fashion Innovation Award, Anne Lina Dingsor Uudelepp from Ravensbourne University won the David Ban Textile Award 2013, Jessica Kelly from UCA Epsom won the Barclays New Business Award 2013, and Sophie Christiansen from Ravensbourne University won the Per Aquum Marketing Award 2013. In recognition of her services to the fashion industry and support of young British talent, Graduate Fashion Week presented the GFW Lifetime Achievement to Suzy Menkes OBE, head fashion reporter and editor for the International Herald Tribune.
