Graduate Fashion Week renews George title sponsorship and announces restructure and new initiatives

 

With support of title sponsors George, Graduate Fashion Week organisers are pleased to announce a new restructured schedule of events. The plans are designed to focus a greater attention and emphasis on all the disciplines showcased at the four day event to help drive recruitment and in turn streamline and shorten the Gala Awards ceremony. The new schedule will see each day of the event focusing on three or four awards with presentations taking place in a central area.  This will enable recruiters, media and other attendees at the event to see all the entries and also hear from individual judges why each winning concept was selected in its category. The Gala day will also be restructured with one Best of Graduate Fashion Week show taking place at 4pm followed by a more concise Gala Awards show at 7.30pm, featuring only the nominees and winners of the George Gold Award, the Women’s, Men’s, Knitwear, Textiles and International Awards. Other new initiatives at the 2013 event will include a Cinema Space, Job Zone, Pop-up Shop and an interactive photographic studio.  More information on these will be available nearer the time.
