Graduate Fashion Foundation partner with Ralph Lauren
The Graduate Fashion Foundation charity has announced that from 12th – 16th November they will be running series of national masterclasses in partnership with Ralph Lauren. During the GFF tour they will be visiting five host universities and colleges across the UK and in total 20 Graduate Fashion Week member universities will have the opportunity to benefit from the advice and information presented. These extra-curricular professional talks provide much needed preparation for the undergraduates and key tips on life after graduation, helping them make the most of the opportunities on offer, as well as the best way to present their work, speak to recruiters and secure jobs. They will include discussions on; How to success at GFW, CV advice, What makes a good graduate collection, Show music, What the judges are looking for and Digital and Social promotion tips. The five-day tour of masterclasses will be held at host university with three neighbouring universities attending; Mon 12th Nov – Bournemouth University (Brighton, Falmouth and Bath Spa), Tues 13th Nov – Creative Arts University Epsom (UCA Rochester, Ravensbourne, Kingston), Weds 14th Nov – Nottingham Trent University (De Montford, Norwich, Northampton), Thurs 15th Nov – Manchester School of Art (Manchester Fash Insti, Salford, Sheffield Hallam) and Friday 16th Nov – Edinburgh College of Art (Glasgow, Northumbria, Central Lancashire). Alongside these Masterclasses, representatives of Ralph Lauren will be interviewing and viewing portfolios from second year students for opportunities at the Company’s New York headquarters next summer. The Graduate Fashion Foundation offers the opportunity to scout top students from our pool of talent at member universities.
