Elena Shchukina collaborates with Yaelle Caplan
Gallery curator Elena Shchukina has announced a collaboration with designer Yaelle Caplan to create a range of silk scarves. The relationship between art and textiles is one that has spanned the twentieth century and seen artists choosing textiles as a material for their works. The accessories range draws inspiration from Laure Hatchuel-Becker’s aboriginal-style paintings, currently on display at Gallery Elena Shchukina in Knightsbridge. The scarves incorporate bright colours and simple patterns. Laure Hatchuel Becker: Form and Colour is showing at Gallery Elena Shchukina until September 6, 2014.
