The Drapers Footwear & Accessories Awards winners were announced last night at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, presented by TV personality Caroline Flack. The Awards recognise outstanding performance among individuals, retailers and brands within the footwear and accessories industries. Winners included footwear designer Lele PyP for Footwear Designer of the Year, Lily and Lionel for the Best Accessories Brand, and Alexia winning Accessories Designer of the Year. Dune and Primark were both rewarded for their footwear offering and River Island took the award for Best Accessories Offer. Independent businesses were also recognised including Tower London of London and Covet of Edinburgh, who both received awards for their footwear and accessories offering respectively. Online retailer ASOS was awarded the Footwear and/or Accessories Pure Play Etailer of the Year award. For the brands, Ted Baker scooped the award for Men’s footwear brand of the year, Clarks won Women’s Footwear Brand of the Year. Growing brand of the Year went to Mi-Pac and Kickers were awarded the Young Fashion Footwear Brand of the year. A new category for this year’s awards, Exporter of the Year, recognised the efforts of British brands overseas, and was awarded to H by Hudson. The full winners list is available online.
