Today Dazed Beauty announces a collaboration with FKA twigs on Issue 7 of her digizine AVANTgarden titled Beauty of the Discarded, that celebrates creativity beyond consumption. In partnership with Dazed Beauty, FKA twigs and AVANTgarden collaborated with makeup and mixed media artist Lyle XOX to create exquisite fantasy facial sculptures which are presented as portraits shot by photographer Nhu Xuan Hua. The found objects used in the facial adornments and sculptures have been carefully selected by Lyle XOX, giving the stories of each object a new life and meaning. Members of the AVANTgarden family were also invited to donate their recycled garbage as found objects. The series explores ideas around collaboration, creativity, sustainability, upcycling and consumption. Featuring FKA twigs, each image in the photographic series features found object donations from Phoebe Waller Bridge, Christopher Kane, Courtney Love, Benny Blanco, Ed Marler, Daze Aghaji and Claire Barrow.
