ASOS teams with British Paralympic Association for ceremony wear

ASOS has partnered with the British Paralympic Association (BPA) and designed formal and ceremony wear for ParalympicsGB, creating a capsule collection for the team to wear when the curtain rises today for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. Paralympians Lauren Steadman, Jack Rutter, Issy Bailey and Rob Oliver can be seen here in the teams official Opening Ceremony wear. The athletes have already been seen wearing the ASOS formalwear on July 16 at GB Team Launch in London. ParalympicsGB will also be seen wearing ASOS designed Closing Ceremony wear at the end of the Games in Rio. In the lead up to the Games, the ASOS design team used their expertise in celebrating individuality whilst designing for a range of body types to create the team’s formal and ceremony wear. Athletes will be provided with a capsule wardrobe of simple functional yet fashionable pieces to wear at a range of official team occasions. Their designs will be worn by up to 264 selected athletes, plus support staff, on formal official ParalympicsGB business. This includes high profile team appearances in addition to the colourful Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
