    Smythson appoints new CEO

    British luxury brand Smythson is delighted to announce the appointment of Xavier Rougeaux to the position of Chief Executive Officer, effective October 2018. The role will see Rougeaux bring his global leadership experience, strategic vision and expertise in international expansion, to enhance the brand omnichannel experience and boost global awareness.   He brings with him over 20 years of global brand-building experience across luxury ready-to-wear, footwear and leather accessories. As Smythson enters a compelling new chapter in its 130-year history, Rougeaux will work closely with Luc Goidadin who was appointed Creative Director in February 2018, to elevate Smythson’s product offering and international profile. Rougeaux previously served as Chief Commercial Officer at Smythson during a period of international expansion. He defined the brand platform and bridged Smythson’s paper and leather goods offering, creating the now iconic Panama collection.  Rougeaux re-joins Smythson having held a series of senior executive roles at brands such as Loro Piana, Valextra and Sergio Rossi.
