British-Japanese designer Reiko Kaneko has announced the launch of a new Terracotta range developed with SCP this month. These new pieces continue Reiko’s theme of pairing contemporary design with long standing traditional process. Inspired by ancient utiliterian ceramics, the collection comprises a tall pitcher, a large flat platter, large bowl and tumblers. Additionally, the designer has introduced new geometric shapes, glazes and earrings to her debut jewellery collection. With Squares, Triangles and Pentagons now joining the original Hula Circles, Reiko continues the theme of using simple geometric shapes to emphasise the material qualities of Fine Bone China. Prices range from £35-£136 for Hula Necklaces to £125 for the Square Hula in Gold.
