Cosmopolitan launches the UK’s first festival of fashion #FashFest
Cosmopolitan has announced the launch of the UK’s first festival of fashion #FashFest. Taking place week commencing September 15, #FashFest will see Cosmopolitan deliver five fashion events in five days. Cosmopolitan will be translating the season’s trends into looks the reader can wear and turning them into live consumer experiences. Cosmopolitan will combine the power of live events with digital scale in order to showcase the key trends for autumn / winter 2014 and how to wear them. A bespoke content hub, cosmofashfest.co.uk, will also host all the #FashFest-dedicated content for the week and will include live Google+ Hangouts, user-generated content, exclusive flash sales, behind the scenes, talking heads and fashion and beauty videos. The lineup of events will comprise of an intimate live lingerie show, a fashion master class from the industry’s top celebrity insiders including Pixie Lott, Victoria Adcock (stylist to Cheryl Cole and Victoria Beckham) and Ben Cooke (Nicole Scherzinger’s hairdresser) and the ultimate fashion night in – a cyber shopping evening with fantastic discounts, offers and treats from some of the UK’s biggest fashion brands. The evening will also provide the platform to announce the winners of the Cosmopolitan Fashion Awards, which recognise the best of British fashion. The judging panel includes Millie MacIntosh, Laura Whitmore and Disney Roller Girl. The week will culminate in a fashion wrap party where readers and fashion brands can network and celebrate a unique five days of fashion-dedicated events. Brands involved with FashFest include Next, River Island, ASOS, Very, Dorothy Perkins, Oasis, Primark, Boohoo, Yumi, Triumph, Asos, B’Tempt’d, Very.co.uk, Coppafeel and Paul Mitchell, with more to be confirmed.
