The Gerard Darel house names Brigitte Comazzi Duval as its new Director of Creation. Brigitte Comazzi Duval joins the Darel house after having directed the Comptoir des Cotonniers studio of creation from 2005 to 2011, then the style bureau of Tara Jarmon from 2012 to the end of 2013. Brigitte Comazzi Duval comments “I am delighted to join the Darel House because in my eyes it represents a real institution with its own studio, a creation workshop and great know-how. While preserving its Left Bank spirit and a strong mix between modernity and tradition, I wish to renew the image of the brand by bringing more femininity, more audacity, more freshness… it is important for me to find in the collections a contemporary spirit directed at all the generations that is also more fun and less austere. Passionate about travels and most particularly Asia as well as vintage, this is where I draw my inspirations. In a spirit of affordable luxury, I wish to conceive collections with innovative and refined materials, exclusive prints, impeccable cuts, details that make the difference, punctuated with exceptional pieces, even quirky touches that will spice up wardrobes, season after season.”
