Michaeljohn relaunches Cold and Flu Facial
Michaeljohn relaunches its Cold and Flu Facial for January – April 2014. The treatment is designed to ease head and muscle aches and pains caused by cold and flu, brighten dull and grey looking complexions caused by winter weather, decongest the sinuses, boosts the immune system and increase energy levels. Clients are provided with an immune boosting blend of lemon and ginger tea as well as supplements containing zinc, echinacea, omega 3 and vitamins D and C. The facial begins with a deep cleanse and exfoliation to brighten and revive dull and grey winter skin, followed by a steam inhalation using eucalyptus and tee tree. When the therapist has made necessary extractions, a warm oil is applied to the chest, shoulders and sinuses and massaged to relieve any tension, ease muscles and increase the blood flow. A mask selected specifically to each client’s skin needs is applied whilst the therapist massages the scalp. Finishing touches include serum and moisturiser to protect the skin from the elements, and a steaming cup of stinging nettle tea with peppermint to boost the body’s resistance. The Cold and Flu Facial costs £85 and lasts 75 minutes.
