Modern Dazed, the joint venture between Modern Media and Dazed Media, is excited to announce the inaugural NOWNESS Awards for breakthrough cultural excellence in film and video, with honourees to be revealed on 27 November 2019, followed by a celebratory cocktail hosted at the Modern Media Gallery at the V&A in London.

Celebrating the breakout artists that over the last year have made the most significant impact in moving-image culture and beyond, the NOWNESS Awards will reveal a ones-to-watch list for 2020 as spotlighted by the NOWNESS team and its creative community.

Jurors include Dazed Media’s Co-Founder Jefferson Hack; film director Luca Guadagnino; artist Martine Syms; Artistic Director of The Serpentine Gallery Hans Ulrich Obrist; artist Daniel Arsham; designer Matthew Williams; filmmaker Jenn Nkiru; artist Andrew Thomas Huang; model and designer Alexa Chung; designer and artist Michele Lamy; artist and stage designer Es Devlin; Artistic Director of the Haus der Kunst Andrea Lissoni, stylist Lucia Liu and model Lily Cole to name a few.
