Candid Magazine acquired by ORH Marketing
Contemporary London-based menswear magazine, Candid has been acquired by marketing firm. Candid Magazine was founded in 2011 and acquired by FARBLACK Ltd in 2014. In the five years that FARBLACK Ltd stewarded the brand, the magazine was shifted to a men’s focus, touching on fashion, film, arts, music and lifestyle, and was put in to print whist simultaneously building up the online platform. Cover stars and features articles included actors, models, designers and musicians from all over the world. The print magazine was sold in over twenty-two countries with primary markets in the UK, USA, France, Germany and Australia and was available for purchase at top book stores, department stores and news agents globally. Following issue sixteen, Candid moved to a digital-only platform. Courtney Blackman, who has been at the helm as editor-in-chief since 2015, says, “It has been an incredible journey and it’s now time for Candid to take on its next iteration. Prior to Candid Magazine, Blackman had founded and acted as producer and editor-in-chief of The Industry, a multi-platform media company that was exited in 2015. Candid has been sold to ORH Marketing for an undisclosed sum.
