Thierry Lasry to launch first optical collection in October
Founded 12 years ago, Thierry Lasry has announced the launch of his first optical collection in October. At its launch at the end of 2006, Thierry Lasry was determined to offer a creative, high-end product line, celebrating the know-how and technicalities of this industry, wishing to impose an independent and high-end offer in a market then dominated by the licenses of the big names of luxury and confined at that time to low levels of manufacture and little attention on the part of their parent company. Concerned to maintain the product always elegant and glamorous, Thierry Lasry has naturally focused on the solar, not wishing to decline his collections in optical spectacles until now. For this first optical collection Thierry Lasry has been surrounded by the best manufacturing workshops. A part of the models was produced in Japan, essential for titanium products, the other part is made of acetate in France. With the ceaseless desire to surprise, the desire to bring a sophistication to the product, a culture of detail sometimes visible, sometimes invisible at first glance is being installed within each collection. While having developed a different product, each piece, each hinge, each frame, has been designed and developed specifically for this new line with the challenging master words: innovation and excitement. A new product whose comfort is essential and whose DNA remains obviously the same: 80’s mind, work of geometry and volumes, duality of colours and materials. In recent years, Thierry Lasry has collaborated with fashion houses such as Acne Studios or FENDI or artists including designer Kelly Wearthler or Dr. Woo. The collection is now distributed in about 50 countries including a long list of outlets such as Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Liberty Dover Street Market or Net-A-Porter.
