&SISTERS has announced its latest innovation in environmentally conscious feminine care. Launched at the 2018 Love Natural Love You event at London’s Olympia Exhibition Centre, the nüdie period cup is a new addition to the UK menstrual cup market. Available in three sizes and designed in a matt pale pink, the nüdie is a reusable alternative to tampons and pads. &SISTERS is a company with a conscience, donating 10% of profits to help tackle period poverty around the globe. Realising that existing menstrual cups were not as ergonomic or as user-friendly as she would like, the nüdie is the result of extensive research and design innovation. In accordance with her mantra ‘designed by women, for women’, founder Claire Lettice worked with a young female architecture graduate over many months to perfect the unique design. Three significant design modifications were made. nüdie is made from a silky smooth hypoallergenic medical-grade silicone finish designed for extra comfort. Rather than a stem that often needs cutting, leaving a rough edge, they created their own easy-to-hold Pebble™ pull for hassle-free removal. They added a smooth rounded rim for easy insertion and a secure hold and reinforced the connection between base and pull (so it doesn’t feel like the pull will come away from the base!)
