Beauty at Tesco has announced the relaunch of its World Beauty offering. Available from October, Tesco is working with two cosmetic companies, PAKS and Vatika, as well as new halal personal care brand, Tamese & Jackson to expand their existing range of hair and skincare products, addressing the beauty needs of ethnic women. Whilst most ethnic beauty products are mainly sold through specialised hair and beauty stores, Tesco has seen a demand for ethnic hair and skincare products in their stores and has worked closely with the suppliers on their knowledge and expertise to give customers an easier way to purchase specifically formulated products, at the same time as their other health and beauty shopping. Leading the way is PAK Cosmetics, who, for the first time in its 27 year history, will be available from a retailer, other than their own stand-alone stores, with its own dedicated position within Tesco. As Europe’s leading Afro retailer supplier, the ranges will include Mazuri and Olive Oil, which has been specially developed for Afro-Caribbean hair types and features hair relaxers, steam treatments, moisturisers for natural hair, curly hair and straight relaxed hair. Tamese & Jackson is a brand-new premium brand of wholesome (tayyib) personal care products, ethically produced in the first large-scale halal-certified factory in the UK. Tesco is also the first retailer to stock the range. Tamese & Jackson launches with hand soaps, hand lotions, shower gels, body lotions, shampoos and conditioners and is aimed at, although not exclusively, young modern Muslims who value their tradition and heritage as well as having a keen appreciation for contemporary design, style and quality. The range is available in three fragrances, lime & reyhan, blue orchid and mint noir. The full range will be available from 63 Tesco stores nationwide and online at tesco.com.
